1.5 mm is about 0.06 inches, that part is ok.

The problem is swinging the radius from the ID of the throttlebody into each plenum, you won't be able to duplicate the size of radius that is there stock, it will have to be much smaller. Aerodynamically, this will cause flow separation and vortices, etc. This will hurt flow.

You might be able to fashion a spacer that tapers from there 75 mm t body down to say 67 mm and use part of the spacer to start swinging the radius. If you subtract the area of the butterfly cross rail I bet the total areas would be close - you get the increased flow area of the 75 mm but away from the butterfly you don't need it. A taper on the adapter of 4 to 11 degrees would be in the right range.

This may seem like splitting hairs to some folks, but look at any discussion on head porting and the emphasis on keeping the short side radius stock, or making it even larger, is a recurring theme for a reason.

Ahhhh. I see what your saying now Zak. And it makes sense. Would it hurt flow to some how create a divider that help control even flow into the tanks? But Also is that not the job of the equalizer tube on the far end of the Intake's job?

Funny, I was just on the phone with Zach and told him the exact same thing. Ha this is the first I've seen of this too. :)

But really, I think if you can smoothly get the air to transition around the various parts of the intake path and keep those pulses correct you'll see a gain. Is it worth the amount of work? Maybe not, but when you n/a on small displacement v6 every bit counts!!

If you have the spare parts, the ability to do it, and the willingness to put in the time and effort then have at it. Its either going to work or it not. Worst cast senerio, he has to put a different intake/TB on the car.

I ended up port matching the butterflys to the tanks. I didnt take pics of this because it was not pretty and I was disappointed with the work. But you can see how much material needed to be removed.

Pulled the g3 subframe today. Going to strip it and paint it and make sure everything is sparkly clean.

Is that purple paint any kind of special high temp stuff or just regular spray paint? I love it man :thumb:

Just regular paint, no high temp stuff. The purple has about 3-4 coats of clear. The black has about 9 coats of clear lol
