Earlier you framed it as an airflow/engine breathing limit (VE drop = airflow drop), but now you’re saying you never claimed it wasn’t a turbine limit. Which is it: a platform airflow limit, or a configuration-specific turbine/drive-pressure limit? Because those lead to very different conclusions and next steps.

You said “VE calculated drops because total engine airflow drops.” I agree airflow drops — the question is why. Is the causal limit intake airflow/head flow, or turbine restriction/drive pressure increasing residuals and pumping losses?

Dude, why don't we go back to basics to not keep you so confused about the points I've been trying to get through to you. VE is the ability of an engine to fill the cylinders. Call it airflow. You are confusing me telling you that the natural VE characteristics of the head and cams make the natural VE drop off a cliff at 5200 rpms. Yes you can cheat that with more boost to extend the range and you are correct that if your turbine is restricted you can't keep going. To tell how much the natural VE suffers, run the engine at 10 psi of boost across the entire powerband where the turbos can keep the boost:drive pressure ratio close to 1:1 across the entire powerband and see what the power curve does.
