Quick question to those with AJP… does he make it so that it shows your gear while in drive like Gearhead does? It doesn’t really matter, but it’s a nice little feature. I like seeing the 1, 2, 3 etc while in drive.

Oh and I meant to ask - what do we think about the GH auto octane tune? And does AJP do auto-octane or is it straight 93? Because the AO is kinda handy when you know 91 is pretty much everywhere…

I have also ran the GH AO tune, and currently AJP e30. I know some guys had issues with the ao tune, but my car got along with it like a house fire. I’m a huge fan of the transmission changes on his tune. Only problem is it’s really an e20 tune wearing a 93 tune mask. It’s great for just setting and forgetting. If you get bad gas, or find yourself somewhere that doesn’t have 93, it’s not an issue. Same if you want to add some corn to bring that octane up to squeeze some extra performance out of it.

When I started with Brad, we did a 93 tune to begin with, as the e30 tune is built off of that. I had been running my ao tune at ~e20-e25 before, and when I loaded the base 93 tune from AJP and went to do the first round of logs, I got some torque steer on the launch that I wasn’t ready for…on straight 93.

If I ran straight 93 on the AO tune, I would see around +1.5-2 kr. Never had a positive number at all on AJP tunes.

To your other question, I asked Brad how much wiggle room there was in the 93 tune in case I got bad fuel and/or would I need to change tunes if I were on a road trip say, and couldn’t get 93. He said, while he doesn’t advertise it as such because he wants customers to run the octane they’re tuned for, it could be considered variable octane. The tune will compensate. Even my e30 tune is good for e25-e35. I wouldn’t want to run 87 on the AJP 93 tune, but 91 would certainly be fine if you were somewhere that’s all you could find.

Nothing wrong with the ao tune. As I said, I enjoyed it, and my SHO seemed to as well. That being said, I got more power with AJP, and I feel like it’s “safer” as it’s more finely calibrated to my specific car.

You should look up the basics for kr-- with turbo there is greater chances of that. You don't have to be a pro at it, just overview in case you are chasing something affecting performance
knock is preignition which is the air&fuel detonating before the piston is in the correct position. This can damage internals depending on a few factors. Slight instances can be resolved with computer pulling timing

I have unleashed and the E30 blend tune is an eye opener at the very least. Torrie's customer service is like nothing else I've experienced. I loaded his tune and felt the shift was a little like being punched by Mike Tyson, emailed Torrie that night thinking that he'd reply the following morning or even the next day but he replied within 30 minutes at 8pm with an adjustment. Went out and loaded it and never looked back. It pulls incredibly hard with zero pedal lag. The neighbor and I came home from his Grand Daughters birthday, he was in his 2022 Corvette. I had me an the Wife in the car, he was solo. Green light and I pulled away from him. Took a surprisingly long time for him to pull ahead. (Wife was smacking my shoulder wanting a divorce!) Next day my phone is blowing up and he is asking me "What engine is in that car?" "How much horsepower?" " What year is it?? Money well spent with Torrie. Car is flawless. Waiting days for a tuner to respond may be ok for some, for me, you have my money, get hot or I'm moving on to someone that will.

Hello guys! I’m simply asking for comments/recommendations on different tuners! I currently have a 2013 PP SHO, Livernois sucked with it so I switched to GearHead and that seems a bit better and “smoother” shifting-wise.

I’m now selling my 2013 to grab a new model (2017+).

Just wondering if maybe others had Livernois issues but if I purchased a newer model it might not be as bad? Which tuner offers the smoothest shifting with the most HP and toque increase? And do all of them offer Auto-Octane (so I can run 91 when 93 isn’t available)?

So far I’ve only heard of LMS, GH, Unleashed and Ortiz. My gut is telling me to stay with GH, but just looking for what others have to say. I’ve heard Unleashed is good too.

Also. Does anyone use a flowmaster delta boost and is it worth it?
Would recommend to stick with gearhead especially since you want the auto octane tune.

Just stay with Gearhead. One of the best and easiest and good customer support. Just stay away from LMS and Ortiz, they do to much damage with their careless tunes. Well documented on forums across different platforms. I do my best everytime it comes up to make sure others and new owners dont use them for their own safety

Dont use a delta boost, a proper tune will handle it. Pedal commander isnt good either but ive used it for autocross

2013 and up are mostly the same aside from pcv changes and interior changes.
I got a ? For you I need some help with

I have a 2013 sho with a bigger turbo kit and a bigger blowoff valve I’m looking for a tune and a exhaust system I didn’t get a tune when I bought the car but I’m whipping up on 5.0 with full bolts on

Is GH my only option for an AO-tune? I live in California and we're stuck with 91-octane gas. Are custom tunes even worth it with 91-octane? I had the SCT guys tune my Marauder in the early-2000s (32-valve DOHC 4.6L). They had to dial the timing back three times to eliminate the pre-ignition.

Just let them know you live in komiforna. Better yet not. You might not get a tune!
