Of the ones I have used I would rank them like this:

Gearhead
AJP
Unleashed
stock
LMS
ortiz

I definitely missed something if Ortiz is even below LMS. What's going on there?

This is an 8k rpm shift after they increased the engine speed limit, modified manual mode and didn’t say anything about it. Literally what I was told was that Luis was gong to “try” something. I went out to do a 3rd gear pull log for them. Granted the log I did before this was the same thing, 3rd gear pull in manual 3rd, no issues other than throttle closure problems. So this one I’m going out to do the same thing. Had it in 3rd manual around 3500 rpm and floored it….the car downshifted into 2nd by itself. Let me just say that again….by itself. No driver input. The 8k rpm shift happened when I realized what was happening, commanded it to upshift back into 3rd around 6500 rpm which should have bounced off the limiter (but not when it’s commanded to be an 8k limit) shifted into 3rd which was already so high coming down from 8k rpm I hit 7k rpm in my 3rd gear shift to 4th gear. And was like what the F… was that? Checked the log. Sent it to them, they’re saying man idk why Luis did that. Sorry man he tried changing rpm to a higher limit hoping your throttle wouldn’t close. Then months and months later, when I shared this with another member who shared it publicly, it was easier for Ortiz to attempt to discredit me as a driver and as a customer not knowing how to data log. To top it off they have a couple guys willing to publicly humiliate themselves in order to “stick up” for Ortiz….just an all around low quality company. Steer clear. Thankfully my engine didn’t grenade. The icing on the cake is it was also free tuning, bc they hoped to have a top ranked EcoBoost SHO repping their company, toting their name….instead it became an immediate mistake and long after, bc of their character and actions they’re pretty much out of the EcoBoost sho scene, clinging to their Mustang customers…for now. Who knows how long that will last.

Im surprised nothing broke on my driveline with the v11 tune from lms. I sometimes get some wheel hop feeling on ajp tune but my shocks are toast and only happens with traction control on. Or i hit a pothole right when i stomp it with PA sh1tys roads

Damn, after the shit time I had with LMS and GH ortiz was like a dream. Guess I got out before they fell apart too lmao. Maybe I'll give AJP a go this time, I've only ever heard good things about his tunes.

Yea load the tune and stomp it and it like machine guns the axels. Then by the third time you stomp it, it calms down a bit lol.

Same as LMS, shipping bad tunes and not taking accountability. Its one thing to make an honest mistake and do what you can to make it better. Its another thing to send bad tunes and bs the vehicle owners telling them its normal and then not caring. But its ok, they offer a special shop discount for shoforum…
Keep the sheep happy

My first post here was asking for help with their tune and being told by everybody that I was doing something wrong because LMS was the best tuner ever. That didn't last lmao. The only tuner I've had good luck with was MPT back in the mustang days, the BAMA tune made it run leaner than stock. LMS v11, GH shit customer service and kaboom, Ortiz apparently would have sent my rods to the sky if I'd run it more. I'm definitely liking the idea of another SHO for road trips but maybe stock tuning will do (but that won't last, especially with how insanely cheap taurus tunes are)

I had 3 revised tunes with Ortiz, each got worse, all having to do will too much fuel pressure be requested too early just drowning the cylinders, and the trans shift points in all the gears pushing the car passed the fuel cut rpm. With each request he told me not to use the "sport mode" in which I always had it in drive.... kept blaming me. No sir, if you can't see what you've done, I'm out. You need my money more than I do - Peace

RPM - Green
Boost - Yellow
the other two are requested pressure and actual fuel ...
The poor engine just popped and back fired until boost met up... then sure it was a race to the fuel cut rpm

Lmao that reminded me I'd get a backfire on the Ortiz tune if I lifted right after the 2-3 shift. It was when I had the exhaust exiting behind the front tire so it was pretty loud.

Been with Gearhead.
AJP has never replied after a few emails and requests
It took about 6-8 months of random messaging before I got my first reply. He is very good about taking care of the customers he has first. Once I did start the process with him, he was super responsive.

Except when he isn't. I was already a customer of his and wanted to update tune when I bought upgraded hpfp and never got a reply. It's his fault that I gave ortiz a chance. Sometimes just because a tuner is responsive it isn't necessarily a good thing. I should have just sent Brad another 30 emails.

If you or anyone has an HP Tuner I have a trusted and experienced Tuner - look below for his info. He doesn't care about exhaust and does all custom tunes.

Just a suggestion if you are looking for an EcoB tuner.

Buy the MPVI3 tuner & two universal credits.

Have a laptop - the software for running/backing up your stock tune and logging are free to use, just download.

Next meet the guy I am talking about and pay for his tuning. Since he needs to pay 2 license credits for programming your cars tuning he passes that onto you.

So all in you are $500 for the hardware $100 for your license to tune the car and log. He passes the tuning license to you $100 and you ask for his services. He usually quotes the license and tuning in one price. I don't work for him or get any credit. He negotiates prices directly:

I am very happy with my tuning, however not designing a track car just granny's groceries grabber.

From knowing him personally, he gets so many email across different platform. Emails get buried quickly, and he admits it. Thats why you gotta email him a bunch, but it only take 1-3 emails to get a response as a current customer. He doesn’t have a support team. Its just him and he has a full time job and a family now and other things. His hpfp is the best deal around price wise. Really great discount and he includes the tuning on it. Just the HPFP manufacturer cant keep up
