Has anyone tried mounting it in front of the sunroof, similar to the gauges on the H&R SEMA car?

Okay, so it looks like I'm heading for custom-tune. While not explicitly an AO-tune, AJP claims (as I read upthread) his tune should work on 91-93 octane. But unlike Gearhead's one-stop shopping, it seems I have to buy everything on my own for an AJP tune.

1. SCT Livewire TS+.
2. Colder, gapped-plugs (brand, part no.?).
3. Motorcraft 3-bar MAP.
4. Motorcraft 170° thermostat.

I've only omitted the MSD coil-packs and the HPFP. Is an upgraded fuel-pump really essential? What are people paying for HFFP installs? About the stat: I put a 180° stat on my Marauder (with a custom SCT-tune), and if the tuner allows for the 170° stat for the SHO, I'm fine with a non-standard stat-temp. I live in Los Angeles County where temps are moderate, but will take road trips to Mojave and Palm Springs, where summer temps hover around 117° ambient.

I would love an E30-tune, but the closest E85 pump is about 10 miles away so I'm not sure how often I would accommodate the mix. On my old SCT tuner, I could switch between tuning files, so I assume I can have multiple tunes in memory: one for 91-octane, one for E30.

Torrie used to sell oem Ford parts before Ford stepped in and killed the non-Ford official dealer seller market. He has Unleashed Tuning and has been around for a good while. I never had a tune from him so I can't comment on performance. He does alot of mustangs and f150 in addition to other Ford models.

I can say as a customer of his for oem parts way back, his customer service at that time was excellent.

you should be able to all or most of the parts from AJP (Brad). I bought from him xdi-35 and livewire ts+. Yes you can store more than one tune in the TS. I have a 93 and E30 just for this reason.

We have two police interceptors with different mods both tuned by Brad. We are very happy. We are in the process of meth kit installations.

Thanks, e-mailed last week and haven't heard back.
Perhaps I'm better off on my own with the HP Tuners... decisions decisions.

It’s possible he may be on vacation or something. Brad will get back to you.
