What all did you do for weight reduction? I'd like some specifics.

Keep cutting till it folds in half, then put that last part back on.

I'm pretty sure he removed anything he didn't need (and probably some things he did). Rear windows are lexan, no interior, no bumper reinforcements etc.

Removed everything that didn't make it run, steer, or roll. Still has glass front windows. And front a rear windshield. Carbon fiber hood, Cut out the rear doors and used lexan rear door glass. Has 1 corbeau seat.

When I weighed in at the track at 2680 it still had all the bumper supports, and 2 seats.

Thats crazy light! When people think of the word "Taurus" they would never think it could get that light...then again most of us enjoy Ac, heat and a radio...

So made some progress today. All new valve stem seals, water pump installed, put the motor in time, and installed a few other items. coming along pretty nicely.

Also picked me up a Quaife tranny.

Looks like your making progress. I cant wait for you to get the motor in and start it up and than dyno it.

In rebuilding my 90 SHO; I went all stock and now regret it. I wanted a bone stock motor for some dumb reason. Now completely rebuilt with 4000 miles on the original 76k motor I really dont want to reinvent the wheel.

If i had to do it over I would have gotten a 3.2 motor ... cams .... BBB ... ported heads and extrude honed runners ... maybe increased the compression .... nothing to the level that your doing to your motor though.

That said though ... doing 65-70 in the cool night air all interstate driving I avg exactly 30mpg ..... not bad for a 90 SHO !

I can't wait to you get it running. Keep pushing forward !

Thank you very much for the support fellas. Updating the thread because tonight I was able to finish the valve adjustments and popped the valve covers on.

All the intake valves were .007-.008 and all exhaust were .010-.011

Just ordered ARP flywheel and ARP pressure plate bolts as well as SHOsource's Steel Billet flywheel yesterday.

Anyway, here is the pics.
