So i have not updated for a while but the motor is coming along pretty smoothly. Got the heads bolted on, cams installed, bottom end all assembled, half of the valves are adjusted but for the other half im going to need some pretty odd sized shims. Also got some accessories bolted on and finally gutted the AC compressor. Waiting on a timing tensioner stud, water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, valve cover gaskets, valve cover grommets, oil pickup tube gasket and the oil cooler to block gasket. Got some new parts

NIB TIMING belt tensioner.

Moter looks great. How far off are you from having the car completed?
I guess with a SHO that's relative. you fix one problem and ten more crop up overnight. what are you doing for half shafts and any concern with 3rd gear. I know it mostly effects boosted SHOs. Donno if any NA cars have shredded 3rd yet.

Already broke third once. But the car weighs 2600 pounds now. Not too worried about breaking axles. More scared for input shafts.
