All you naysayers, give him a break. Why drive cars at all, you can get a Hayabusa and run 9's without ANY mod money? Different strokes for different folks. The quest in life is not about going the fastest for cheapest. I applaud anyone who wants to take a different path than the majority. I think we all have a bit of that in us or we would not have been attracted to the SHO in the first place. I say, ZaCH SHOULD pour every last bit of effort and every spare bit of money he cares to into making his SHO faster. There is not a person on this forum who has the fastest/best performing/best bang for the buck vehicle that is all things to all people. That car doesn't exist. If modding a SHO brings a person happiness, who are we to discourage him.
We already know Zach is not going to listen to a word anyone says to the contrary, so you might as well support him. Look how much he has matured in his short time with us. Do you think the same would have happened if he were with a different platform? As everyone says time and again, it is not the cars, but the people that make this community so great. Lets show it.
Zach, build it!
I... will be the first ever to break 11's.
Sorry Zach, can't let that happen.
Game on.

I expect to see some competition here! Don't let me down!
im prepared to spend the thousands more to have the right companies and people involved with the car to make it run the times i want it to.
I wish somebody would build a SHO for NASA time trial (or racing) with that much enthusiasm. I think it could be a complete ringer car
And to think, the SHO is actually halfway good at road racing![]()
But real bad ass road course sho's have been raced and built numerous times. Personally to see a sho roll up to a drag strip and race competitvly in a 11.5 or even the 12.5 index would be way more impressive.
I wish someoe else had the drive to make these cars go faster in the 1/4.
They've been built, but few raced, and fewer that held any regional or national track records. Eric J. probably did as well as anybody with a SHO regionally or at the nats level.
If you think 11's or 12's is hard with a SHO, try to get around Road Atlanta in 1:43 in a near stock SHO, or a 1:41 with a few allowed mods (TTE and TTD respective lap records). And while getting one to run 11's would be a great technical feat, so would sub 1:40 at Road Atlanta, AND would also require some brass cojones![]()
