X2 RCM's kit is great. But if you need them really fast, Rockauto has next day and second day shipping options. They are special order through NAPA thus will take a while.

bumping because I have another question.

So when I FIRST noticed my oil light flickering, I was in traffic on a bridge... and I drove it easy to my house 4 miles away and parked it, havent driven it since. My bearings come in in the morning. I dont have the necessities at my house to do the job here. My setup consists of a buddy of mine that works at a Ford Dealership and everybody that works there loves my car (not many of them around here) so all my labor is extremely cheap/free.

But my question is, it's about a 10 mile drive. Do you think I'm safe to drive it?

Oil level light or oil pressure light?

If the former, add some oil first. If the latter then no. Get it towed.

Well, I'm going to go against the consensus.

If the oil light just flickers a bit at idle, drive it...It'll be fine

It is more likely that you just need to replace the oil pressure sensor and there is nothing wrong with the rod bearings; mine did exactly the same thing and replaced the sensor for $15 and 5 minutes of labor, solved the problem.

I would drive it the 10 miles, taking it easy of course.

I'm hoping that's all it is. The car's got 145k on it and as far as I know (I asked previous owner) the bearings are still original, i have them with me so they're getting changed regardless.

Those bearings needed to be changed, so that was a good move...

I know I need to replace my rod bearings but I kind of have to wait until the spring to do it. I don't have a garage and the weather here sucks this time a year. Is there any signs I should listen for so I can stop driving the car before I do some damage to the motor. It has 240,000 miles and runs perfect. I change the oil every 6 to 10 thousand miles with MOBIL 1 and I pretty much keep up with all the maintence on it except of course doing the rod bearings.
