Just wanted to say thank you to Aaron over at Schwartz Engineering for coming up with a solution for a billet brace to help mitigate flexing of the PTU case, and keeping internal gears intact with his design.

Thank you also to Andrew Bullock @802SHO for turning me onto this item and getting me in touch with Aaron.

Some may recall that craptastic vendor operating as AKD Performance and its' owner Steven Dunn claiming his billet PTU cover was the only solution available.

I think I was the only one that actually got physical delivery of the PTU cover from AKD (plenty of people fronted money for the group buy and got shafted with no product delivery as promised).

Well I had the misfortune of finding out that his product was not able to be used as nearly three fourths of the holes did not line up properly. So it was never able to be installed as a result. Frustrated at this I ended up throwing it in the trash. What a waste of money.

I was kind of left hanging at that time and was resigned to just utilizing the factory setup.

That was until recently when Andrew reminded me of Aaron's available solution for the known flexing of the PTU case at higher HP/TQ loads over factory levels.

Aaron was great to work with and ensured that I was kept abreast of the order status, each step of the way. From production, to shipping etc.

I was pleased to have had the product in hand in about 2 weeks time (even with the Christmas and New Year's holidays effecting shipping).

I showed it to my engine builder and he was very complimentary of the design and was equally excited as I, at this addition to my SHO's ongoing build.

Thanks once again Aaron! Dc1871f76c728662f716ed0227bb26a5

Aaron is the best. I got my front diff LSD kit machined, assembled and ready to drop in from him. PTU brace is definitely next. It’s unfortunate his website is no longer up as it felt like browsing an upgrade parts store.
