i was wrong
the rod shifter has always been extremley loose since i got the car, so today when i was under the car putting in the reinforced motor mounts I pulled the shifter out and looked it it. it seems the plastic ball at the bottom of the shifter and the "cup" it fits into are both extremley worn so the shifter is very sloppy. question is can i get these two parts from a parts store? or do i have to replace the entire assembly. I found this out after the parts stores were closed so I figured I'd ask you guys and see what others have done. is there a rebuild kit for the shifter? thanks! the car is a 92 3.0
