I have a 2012 SHO with135k on it. When I accelerate im getting a lag. Doesn’t feel like a transmission slip. I just had it checked. Mainly from 1st to 2nd gear then it pushes through and accelerates and rides fine. Happened today at higher speed could it be CV joints? Fuel related ? I replaced plugs and had tranny checked?

Boost leak? At 125k, it would not be unheard of to have a small leak somewhere

See my reply. This does sound like torque converter. If you don't feel it anytime except harder accelerations, it's likely. It's also possible to avoid the issue for a considerable amount of time by not accelerating hard. But eventually, it'll be a replacement need.

Doesn’t really sound like CV joints to me unless you’re getting clicking on turns or vibration under load. A hesitation/lag from 1st to 2nd on these EcoBoost SHOs is pretty commonly fuel or boost related. Since you already did plugs and had the transmission checked, I’d start looking at things like the throttle body, dirty MAP sensors, weak fuel pressure, or even a boost leak/intercooler moisture issue. Coils can also act up under load without throwing immediate codes.
If it happened at higher speed too, I’d definitely scan for pending codes and monitor fuel trims/boost if you can. These cars can hide misfires pretty well at first before finally setting a CEL.
