Lexus Update: Just waiting on the new shortblock. However, I am pretty sure I broke the clutch this weekend. Hard launch against a new M4 and second gear told me NO! Pedal decided it wanted to hang out on the floor. After hanging my head and laughing I let it cool down. The pedal decided to rejoin the party.

Once the clutch decided to kinda work, and I was able to put it in gear it made it's death rattle. Right before engagement it sounds like a bag of marbles gets dropped into the bell housing. However with full engagement there in no noise and it doesn't slip. I think I broke a puck on the clutch disc itself. So I am looking at twin disc McCloud clutches as I type this. I had one in my twin turbo Camaro and it was amazing.

So...final MOD update on the SHO. Threw her on the dyno for the first time since I put the HPHP on. With the stock pump and E30 and FBO she put down 391 hp and 494 tq. With the HPHP and revised AJP tune she cracked off 411 hp and 546 tq. Finally the 400 barrier fell. Lol what a fight. Remember this is with worn out stock turbos too. The dyno tech said he pressed the record on the dyno a tad late and missed the actual peak tq but he said he expected 555 to 560 TQ. So yeah. Extremely pleased with the set up.

So FS HPFP and revision netted me 20 HP and 52 TQ to the tire.

That's when you say "you goofed, do it again" lol

Congrats on the new numbers, especially in that heat with stock IC and no meth. What were IATs during the run?

Wasn't worried too much about it. Ambient was 61 degrees and IAT's were in the 120's. I didn't use my DYI water spray on the dnyo.

Congrats on breaking that 400+ to the wheels barrier.

A challenge indeed that most don't realize how much time, talent, and treasure it takes to get it there.

Well done! Well done!

Congrats on the achievement. Is it really the final mod though? :)
Yeah, I am FBO sans upgraded turbos and IC. For the better part of a year it has been on 91 octane and serving as a daily for my GF and her daughter. So looking for longevity as this point. There was some dyno time available and I said what the ****. Loaded up the E30 tune and let her eat. Now I know... lol.

Congratulations SM. I know it's been a long road to get there. The info in this thread is amazing.

Frank
Thank you for the kind words. I started to just remember everything about this car, then it morphed into what you see today.

Probably his approach angle to the parking garage that destroyed his front lip lol. But for real amazing work buddy and congrats on your new numbers!
Hahaha too soon! That would be #2. Lol.
