i wish, i actually have the stock file on my laptop, but you can't load the stock file using software, has to be done on the tuner itself getting it from the car, can't directly load stock file into the stock spot, if that makes sense

Talk to the tech peeps at SCT. There should be a way of loading your stock file from the home pc onto the tuner.

I'm not sure if each stock tune is serialized to each car's comp. Probably, but again the peeps at SCT would know that too and may have a suggestion.

Pretty sure the tunes are linked to the ECM # of vehicle. Believe that is the strategy code you e-mail to tuner. Can you up load the strategy code from your vehicle?

Also, if you are starting over, won't the stock file upload to the SCT tuner again, before the new modded tune is downloaded from your SCT tuner into the vehicle?

I would also re-load from your computer and into the SCT Tuner, the tune you want to ultimately input into your SHO,

It took me a while to get the hang of it. Now I can do it in my sleep.. Also... I get everything set up and get out of car before I start process, so I am not stuck in Brick for 5-10 min.

AND... Turn everything off like, headlights, radio, HVAC.. etc. Never switch anything on or off, or attempt to power up/down windows etc, as a change in voltage will cause loading failure.

Good Luck!

The device is mad, it won't. Load a custom tune because it detected a flash failure previously, it says must reflash stock. There is no longer a stock file in the sct, in the stock buttobn anyway. So there is nothing it will do u til I can get the error message wiped out of the device

This may be a stupid question but did you pull the fuel pump fuse before attempting to do the tune? Sounds like it probably doesn't have anything to do with your problem, but just a thought as to what may have caused the problem in the first place.

I have never pulled the Fuel Pump Fuse on my Flex. My phone has also been pared up, but so far I've never gotten a call or attempted to send one while in tune download mode.

SCT Tech has helped me with all my questions, including data logging with LiveLink 6.3

I have 64 bit Windows 7 ultimate. Had to update SCT software that works with 64 bit to even start, about a year ago. I would try again with SCT Tech. It may be that you have to send in your SCT Tuner to be unlocked or whatever at SCT in Orlando area.

Or. maybe Rick can send you a new one and you can return this to him.

Good Luck.

Best to wait until Monday and talk to SCT's tech guys again. Don't continue trying to program the car, there is something not right. Let them figure it out before trying to program it again.

Bob, the only reason I asked the question is because (I believe) the instructions say to pull the fuse before attempting the programming. I have always pulled the fuse, but since you haven't apparently it isn't necessary to pull it. Thanks.

I do believe it was in the instructions I saw. My tuner told me it wasn't necessary.
Big thing is not to mess with anything after starting tune down load or stock tune upload.
When I accidentally turned off lights about 20% into tune download, when it finished, it said loading failed, and I had to return to stock. Did it, and all was fine, but took 15 min to get back to tuned status.

I agree with Red Candy SHO... Wait till MON... Livernois & SCT Tech will be available then.

Know it's frustrating.... but it will all be worth it! Soon you'll be shooting for 12's!

Greg,

I'm sorry it's been such a hassle. I wonder if maybe you got a bad device. You seem pretty tech savvy, so it should be easy for you. I am back in the office if you want to stop by.

Thank you,

Rick

P.S. That bike is insane!!! :dribble:

yeah no problem waiting, crappy weather anyhow, thanks for the advise everyone.

I am trying to get the SHO to pull like my turbo bike (see video).

Insane bike man......What's the quarter time on it with the mods? Has to be sub 10.

My SuZi 1100E back in '83 was good for sub 11's with PeeWee Gleason at the helm but your 'Busa seems a 'tad' quicker. :p

More vids?

Good luck with getting the SHO to go that quick without strapping an F14 to her.;)

Even Bob's Brick isn't that fast.
