the first video (the long one) at the tail end of you can see the speedo bury to about 190 indicated, bike speedos are natarious for reading happy. On my newer turbo bike i have buried 6th gear a number of times, with stock gearing is 195 ish. Never been to a land speed event, though would love to at some point with gearing for about 230 mph should be a blast.

I missed the 190 indicated -- yikes! Things have to be a blur at that speed and indeed beyond.
A little too much for me especially at 60+ age.....
huge ups for doing it tho. Make damn sure those tires are good and the suspension is peak. :):hail: (and of course at the track).

Glad to see you got the tunes sorted out......those are some decent times you got there.....You picked up a good 4 tenths and 4-5mph with a tune.

0-60 mph times

Smithabusa,
Glad you got your tune in. Just out of curiosity did you check any 0-60 times?
I am always glad to see members post their 1/4 mile times but I have never seen any 0-60 times. If you did I would love to see them.
What stage tune were you running?
Jerry

How accurate are gtech type tools like your Vector FX2 anyway?

"Flex times"
As for 0-60 times, based on my logging of my 1/4 mile runs at Bradenton,

My 0 - 60 mph times varied from 4.76 sec. to 5.10 sec. using a few samples from 12 runs.

The under 5 sec. time resulted in a 13.064 et 1/4 mi time. The 5.10 was 13.120et 1/4 mi.
As mentioned elsewhere, I had 5 runs under 13.11et & a total of 10 runs under 13.2et.

Would guess Darrell is in 4.2-4.5 sec range for his 0-. 60mph

don't honestly know on accuracy, i am sure if you ask the folks who make them very accurate. I would be willing to bet that looking at back to back gains is pretty accurate thoguh, same road, within 30 minutes of each other i tested a tune and stock, same weather conditions etc, so the delta between the runs i would put money on, absolute numbers no idea honestly, though they sorta seem in the range of what i have read others have ran with similar things done.

I've heard that they're a little optimistic but the improvement from stock to tune should be spot on.

Would be great to get some track time. Let us know if you have plans to sometime.

at some point i will probably go the track with it and run the stock vs the tune to see the difference a little more officially
