PuckHead:
I feel your pain about noone wanting to help you out with it.
I took my car in for the SF recall, the dealer ran an Oasis report, and it came back that it wasn't covered. I showed them the printout from the NHTSA that included MY car, and they still said no, it wasn't covered.
It is my understanding that even though my car wasn't bought in the "affected" region, it is still covered because the wording of the recall states that:
"PASSENGER VEHICLES ORIGINALLY SOLD, OR CURRENTLY REGISTERED, IN CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, IOWA, KANSAS, KENTUCKY, MAINE, MARYLAND, MASSACHUSETTS, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEBRASKA, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT, VIRGINIA, WEST VIRGNIA, AND WISCONSIN."
Well, I showed them my license plates, and my registration, and lo and behold, I LIVE IN MINNESOTA, AND THE CAR IS REGISTERED IN MINNESOTA.
Gee, doesn't that mean my SHO is one of the affected vehicles?
Oh well. Not to hijack the thread. Keep up the pressure until you get everything straight. Same thing I'm trying to do.
Good Luck!
Later!
