Hey guys,
I have a question for y'all. I live up here in Alaska and have no access to e85, or even 93 octane fuel. I have access to 91 and that's it. I got gearhead tune and spoke with them and I asked them if I could use boostane to increase octane to 95 to run 93 tune. They said that it's ok to do so, and that the premium fuel tune they have can autocorrect for 91-93 even with my 2011 SHO which doesn't have that AO capability. They recommend I ran this every other tank to keep plugs and such from getting too gross.
Have any of you guys done that? I have heard horror stories and also good ones about this stuff. I basically am just looking to increase to 93 for regular gas people can get anywhere else that's not BFE Alaska.
I feel like if it works it's a cheap alternative to something I just can't get locally. My other option would be...meth injection?
