Thank you, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't inspired, one day we will get these two side by side and itll be a great photo. And it is absolutely a bitch but more forgiving than I expected, I broke out the heat gun after removing the drivers side about 6 times and then realized the roll only had enough for 2 headlights, no 2nd chances so I did the best I could, next time will go smoother since I got the passenger side almost perfect. Since getting rid of the window chrome the stance of the car seems lower (i know its only an illusion). I can appreciate chrome on the right application or in the right areas, for example I dont mind the SHO lettering on the fender, but Im not a big fan of the ring around the vent so ill be smoking or going matte with it but leaving the letters.

I changed the A/C - Heat blender actuator that is buried under the dash behind an immovable wire harness on my 2016. It's nice to have heat on the passenger side again. Well... according to my wife anyway. The best thing is, I was able to change without removing the dash, steering wheel, audio system, etc as shown in all the videos/write-ups I could find. After many years of working with tools, I was able to get to it and change it by simply removing the glove box. It was NOT easy to get the two screws out, the plug disconnected and then get the actuator out from behind the %$&^#$ wiring harness. Then get the new on back in through the same route. I also had to figure out how to move the actuator where it would align with the splines on the air box shaft. But did. Using a bore scope to look at everything was VERY helpful. But once again a triumph for the Lazy guy finding the Easy Way.

I was once told that if you find a shortcut that works without sacrificing anything then you have done it efficiently. often its a testament of experience, so not lazy, just efficient. good to know its possible for when mine inevitably goes

Water pump/timing chain/tensioners/guides/cam phaser/PCV valve done last week at 65k miles. Timing cover had a decent oil leak so that's why it was done a bit early, took the chance to do everything while re-sealing that. As a treat to myself had them throw in the GH intercooler while everything was apart. Car feels very healthy now. Like many others here, performance is about the same but at 4-5 PSI less boost, and it drops 20 degrees celsius like nothing when I hit the gas. Wallet took a big hit though lol.

I don't drive ol' girl hard too often but this morning I opened her up. I was behind an Edge ST on a country road that was going 5-10 miles under the speed limit. There's only one passing lane. For about a third of a mile strip it opens to 2 lanes for passing. People are notorious for running 75 in that strip and slowing back down to 54 to box people in when they can no longer pass.

So when it opened up, I started gradually speeding up and noticed I wasn't gaining any ground on them. At 80 MPH, I still hadn't gained so I realized what they were doing and floored it. I blew past them at 119. They were still ******* the throttle.

I immediately started braking as I was catching other people and coming up on a slight curve. Around that curve was a cop, but fortunately I had got it down to 63 and he didn't turn around.

Not even 1/8 of a mile later, dude flipped on his turn signal and came to a complete stop to turn left into a residential road. What an @$$.

My Rosemist '96 got 29 years out of the Multi-function switch. Windshield wipers had recently switched to only one function - full tilt boogey or nothing.

Got a killer deal from Rockauto.com for a replacement and tore down the steering wheel today.

Everything was a battle getting her apart, but I did. I've had the car since 2005 and never had the column opened up.

Reassemble and test, got my wiper delay back, Yay!

Trying to stop my noises. Brake squeal, clunking from the rear, and a weird intermittent grinding sloshing noise ive posted about previously. I replaced All 4 brakes and rotors, front axles and rear sway bar links. Tranny drain and fill and ptu drain and fill. Trans looked great for 20k miles, like new almost.

The ptu was a different story, seems like a lot of metal on the plug for 20k and the LWSP once a nice blue is dark brown, opinions on my PTU health? Thinking this might have been my noise but I'm still adding fluid as of the time of this post. Just took a break when I saw this.

seemed like a lot for 20k, close to what was on it when I did it the first time and that was atleast 30k+ since thats how long I owned it for. still making noise though, going to check my intermediate shaft and rear driveshaft to double check none of those are to blame, but it only does it when it warms up after driving for a while.

After driving for a few days the noise came back, ptu is on borrowed time, to dump salt in the wound the radiator popped going to work Tuesday. But I was saved by a good friend I met right here on the forum that had one to spare plus a set of fans and happened to be near by. I won't say who incase they don't want the attention but thank you so much sir.

The radiator is in and she's cooling perfectly and even managed to burp it without incident. I have a small boost leak I can't find but I think it's the IC pipe inlet that has a little rectangular o ring. It was stretched and I couldn't get it to stay in place, any suggestions?

The process was daunting but it wasn't too bad

Glad to hear it's in... No suggestions seems inexpensive to get a replacement from local Ford dealer. Thinking RTV could be a hold over - maybe?
