So what did you do to your SHO today!?

I wanted to start a thread for everyone to post those little or maybe even big things we do with our cars everyday. Could be something as small as "I washed my car today" or maybe something a little bigger like "here's a picture of my new tint" or maybe something even bigger like, "check out my new pair of turbo's".

It help keeps me excited about my car and sometimes it gives me some pretty good idea's!

I really enjoy reading and seeing pictures of those little things we all do to our rides, but I know sometimes we don't feel like taking the time to start a new thread/post.

Last weekend, I installed H&R springs... I had a great time in the garage, enjoying the nice warm Houston weather!

So today I got my ceramic 30% tint installed... but can you believe that on the way to the place I got a rock chip!!

21k miles and it just happens that a rock hits my windshield today and on the way there... whats the odds!

Over the last few days it's been washed and waxed along with dropping the rear another 3/4" and the front about 3/8".

Still has about an 1" more in the rear and at least an 1 1/4" on the front to go lower too.

Got my winter tires mounted. I only ran them for a day to check out the balancing job and wear the stickers off 'em.

And I put on the vent shades.

I love the rims... I was originally looking for a white SHO and I was going to buy those rims, install a push bumper and a light bar... I wasn't going to connect the bar, since I would end up getting in trouble... but I would love to pull up to another car and race them with that setup.

Got up this morning to find this! I've check my security cam from when I got home up till this morning... I can't see anyone approaching my car. Gas level looks normal and I don't see any signs of someone trying to pour anything into the tank. I'm 99% sure that it was closed when I got home, since I was checking out my tint job last night.

This is crazy and I'm starting to think the tint job is turning out to be a curse!

I'm thinking that the 1% not sure is probably the truth. I'd guess you either didn't really close it and didn't notice, or somebody bumped into it, or is effing with you and popped it open just to rattle you.

I got the cop wheels not just 'coz I like 'em, but they were also cheap and they're wicked easy to keep clean. I have pretty much the same look on my truck.

Wheels, caps, lugs, and sensors were right around 1200 bucks, tires were 900 mounted and balanced. Not too steep a price to keep the alloys nice, I think.

Thanks! No wax this time around, since the paint wasn't in bad shape to begin with.....I'll save that for another weekend. I'm partial to the Adam's Polishes line, so I started with their Rinseless Wash and followed up with the Revive Fine Hand Car Polish. For some additional paint protection, I tried the Meguiar's Paint Protect afterwards, and was quite impressed with how easy it was to apply. We'll see how well it holds up, but eventually I plan to have the Modesta BC-05 coating applied.

Fixed the windshield crack, about 85% back to new... I can live with it for now and will replace after all my other mods are done. I noticed a lot of little nicks in the windshield once I started working on it, can't see them from the inside but my whole windshield is peppered with them.

Not bad! Look up the cost/ETA of a new windshield in the meantime, and insist on OEM for, yes wait for it, durability. Non-OEMs are even worse. You will want the appropriate windshield for the options you have: rain-sensing/soundscreen/etc. Current availability can be a few weeks, as there seems to be a nationwide shortage. Also look into getting full coverage on your insurance for glass replacement. We have a few people in AZ & TX having to replace the glass every year due to damage from heavy flying objects/road debris.

Raced what looked to be a late model R6 on the toll road just about 30 minutes ago. While passing a big rig on the left and with my cruise set to 70, just as I was approaching the tractor a bike raced right up on my butt. I heard him down shift and just about the time I cleared the tractor... Sure enough, he wiped to my right to try and pass me! Key word is "try", because I was waiting for him to do it and I put the gas to my SHO and pulled almost two cars on him before I lifted at about 110. I saw he gave up at around 100 so at this point, I was about 4 cars ahead of him and still in the left lane. I heard him down shift a few times... I guessing, trying to speed match his rpm's, and then he hit it again but this time I continued to brake back down to the speed limit.

Poor guy hit the rev limiter in just about every gear as he passed me! I guess he wanted the squeeze every bit of power out of that bike this time!

So he might had been 250lbs and on an R6 with modded pipes and probably no tune and maybe a little inexperienced... But!

I beat he thinks twice before he try's that crap again!

I only wish I could have gotten it on video as I'm sure the rider and truck driver was really surprised... Matter of fact, I was too!
