For sure!
I found mine on Craigslist for $100 so I'm not to crushed... But if I was doing it again I would stay stock or look at the MDesign.
Mine had it as well when I bought the car. So I'm not out any money...just getting extra hot air...

I will say the m-design feels better then the k&n. As it showed up after my first Drive with the downpipes in.

C2fc8597876fa5c3d3b65d6742184af0 I went the GREEN filter route...I love it. Instantly felt More power and much better throttle response over stock paper filter. Noticed a lil More intake noise too.

Have heard good things about the Green Filter products on other platforms as well. This is an oiled filter, yes?
Yep, comes with a nice sythethic oil. It takes approx half the oil as a k&n filter. The wicking is awesome. 6 spaced sprays of oil will spread to cover it.

Changed my diff oil. Came out golden. Been in there at least 20k miles. Not to mention lots of hard boost launches, street races and hard driving by me. Pulled the cover, dropped the exhaust a few inches to make it easier. Then I decide to just drill and tap a drain hole/plug. The thought of going thru that again irritated me. Found a nice area, drilled and used a 1/8 27npt tap. (Ptu is next for a drain plug) plug is the Same part # as our trans drain. Amsoil 75w90 severe gear. Need to clean the housing Ca095eb1a83b377af32da12cb9fc752c4031ebc735799cdf98406d6518b73e1f1e8991dca503e041948fef0c6c9afd14

Dropped off my SHO at the dealer for service.
They're going to do a service to clean the intake and throttle body and something else I forgot for 139$.
Then I'm doing the synthetic oil change, transmission flush at 214$ and changing the brake fluid because it was black.

78000 miles, my premium care warranty runs out at 81k so I wanted the car thoroughly checked over.
So the oil change is $59.99 including tire rotation, the trans flush is $214, the throttle body and intake and something else cleaned is $139. Then the brake fluid change is $109.

I've had some strange sounds from the engine lately, I don't know if it's knock or what, but the service manager test drove the car with me and told me they will check it out, but that he recommended the throttle body cleaning. He also felt the transmission slipping I've been feeling and recommended a flush since this supposedly hasn't been done ever according to the service history.

I've uploaded a couple of videos on YouTube, this first one is of the engine knocking or whatever it is. If anyone has any clues as to what it could be, feel free to let me know.

Then we have the trans slip, or shift flare, as you can see in this video.

And lastly the startup rattle on cold starts...

So the rattle at start I believe is from the vct solenoid... Mine does the same thing and I was told it's normal.
Only worry if continues for more than a couple second's... If it's longer than that then the solenoid is failing and can't determine timing of the cam... At least that's what I was told...

Interesting, just find it weird that it's making that sound at all... This is gonna be off topic, but I noticed you have my same brakes, are yours really noisy during heavy braking at high speeds?

Hard to tell from the video but are you sure the rpm increase on the transmission video is not just normal unlocking of the torque converter when you accelerate from a low rpm in top gear? It looks like that to me. If it is really slipping, I doubt new fluid will fix it.

That's entirely possible, I don't know much about cars, but the transmission also shifts pretty hard from time to time. I was told they recommend doing the transmission service at 60k, and since my car has 78k I figured why not.

Does the transmission do the same thing when in drive and not manual mode? Say, your cruising and you accelerate so it needs to down shift? Or under acceleration during an upshift?

Hard to tell if there is a problem when manually downshifting from 6th or 5th...

Most of the time I have seen transmissions start slipping is in the gears that hammered the most such as 1st - 3rd... Particularly 2nd gear..

There are several TSB's concerning hard shifts from time to time... they have a strategy update that smooths out those random hardshifts..

Really, the only video that is concerning is the knocking... with the 4+ tune at 91 octane it could be knocking if you got really bad tank of gas.... have you tried taking out the 3bar map and reverting back to stock to see if the knock goes away?
