Glad to see you haven’t completely turned your back on the old girl! Impressive gains from that HPFP!

That is good info for future and current owners looking for that power bump and deciding where to focus.Honestly, I wish I would have done the fuel pump second after the tune. Those are biggest power gainers. However the HPFP isn't the cheapest so....yeah.
I tell anyone that will listen, and even some that won't, the first thing after the tune... do the HPFP before the other big ticket items and you will net your biggest gains with e30. Because of all the great info on this page, that's what I did, and barely noticed the other stuff after the HPFP.That is good info for future and current owners looking for that power bump and deciding where to focus.
I don't own this generation of cars and skim this section and pick up info on the fly. This is encouraging to have more than one person (if there are others they should consolidate in this or another thread for new people looking in the future) state this in one place. Just looking through, I thought this was an addition toward the end to squeeze the last amount of power out of the platform. It is good to be wrong, and even better to make sure this gets disseminated as common general knowledge. Excellent.I tell anyone that will listen, and even some that won't, the first think after the tune... do the HPFP before the other big ticket items and you will net your biggest gains with e30. I agree 100%. I will give a quick run down of how each mod upped the power.I tell anyone that will listen, and even some that won't, the first thing after the tune... do the HPFP before the other big ticket items and you will net your biggest gains with e30. After thinking about it more my top three mods after a tune would be:If you had to do it over with the Taurus, would you change anything?
No worries. It has been an interesting journey with this car. I have truly enjoyed it, and learning about it.SM,
Thank you for your thoughts, a lot of hard knocks experience there!
What are the AD TQ Mounts? Are they the ones from Anthony?

Have you looked into possibility that there's any aftermarket Dodge V6 5-speed parts available? After Toyota finished using the r154 they sold the design and the Dodge Dakota is one of the users of this transmission. It is originally a truck transmission and was improved upon in later iterations.Lexus Update: So I bought a complete twin disc setup from SPEC Clutches. I priced out a complete McLeod Twin disc setup and it was $3300 before taxes and I would need to modify the front plate on my R154. Ouch. I read some good things about the Spec Twin Disc. SPEC says it will hold 900 lbs of TQ and is a direct "bolt in" so I pulled the trigger. It was $1796.56 shipped to my house. So yeah, going to start pulling the trans on Thursday. I will post on pics of the clutch and install later.View attachment 83160
Might be something to look into later down the road. However, if my R154 gives the ghost down the road, it will be really hard not to T56 or auto swap it. Esp with the build I am planning, 600 hp to 800 hp will be easy to achieve depending on boost level.Have you looked into possibility that there's any aftermarket Dodge V6 5-speed parts available? iirc the transmission might've even been used in the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn two seater sports car.
There is also a shifter short shift kit available for for the r154. I had one. I could ask the friend, who now owns it as a parts car, if he willing to let it go. Mine to it shifts even more like a truck transmission with that. The short shifts were nice though.Might be something to look into later down the road.
