After replacing all the nearly failing parts that were making so much noise i Now notice a slight bearing rattle. It is very faint but there. From what i have been able to find from searching people say once there is noise it is too late. Is this true. Can i still repace the bearings and hope to get more out of it? I have parked the car untill the new bearing get here.
Thanks

I replaced mine after it started knocking and that was about 10k ago. As long as the crank is not damaged you will be fine.

You cannot fix it if the bearing spins, unless you turn the crank and resize the connecting rod. If it has not spun, you can fix it with new bearings

Is your car an MTX or ATX? If it's an mtx, you probably just have clutch chatter. It is very common with them. You can tell by simply pushing in the clutch with your door open, and radio + all accessories Off.

If your car is an atx tho, then yeah, probably time for rod bearings. (well really either way i'd still recommend doing them)

Sorry it is a 91 MTX. New clutch, flywheel, and ceramic TOB. I am 99% certain its the rod bearings. The other 1% goes to timing chain tensioner.
