How’s it going everyone? I’m new to the forum scene, but I’ve owned my SHO for close to two years. I know that these things are notorious for multiple different types of “rattles” and surprise surprise I have developed one. I’ve done some basic research and i’m leaning more towards the wastegate rattle(hopefully). Sounds like it’s coming from the rear turbo area. Can’t get a very clear video of it, but it does it for a few seconds on every cold starts. Any guidance on what to do moving forward/how to pinpoint this noise is greatly appreciated.

Look to see if the wastegate actuator arm is still attached on both turbos.

I believe the best way to view the rear is from beneath.

Out there somewhere
Cold start rattle could be cam phasers. How many miles on the car? Try this, hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor and crank the engine for 15-20 seconds. Now start the engine normally. If the noise is gone, you've got phaser rattle.

75k miles. I really hope not, but that was a worry of mine. Somebody on YouTube said the same thing and I was just kind of scared to do it lol. Now that I can confirm, I’ll try it in the morning. Thank you.
