Hello, I have a 2014 Ford Taurus SHO non pp with 66k. I bought it in 2019 with 42k miles on it. I have babied this thing, making sure I take good care of it. Did everything that needed done. Even changed the PTU fluid which isn't suggested. It is by far my favorite car and really hasn't given me any issues yet. Well, I now have a P0016 code popping up. First check engine light I've gotten. The sensor was replaced, and we did a fresh oil change. The code is still on. Next, all of the wiring harnesses were checked. Everything seemed to be good. Next, we did what my CarMD suggested, which was to replace the VVT Solenoid. When we took the cover off, we noticed a little slack on the chain. Code still on. Is the next step a timing chain??? Is there any other reason why that code just will not go away??
