After 11 hrs of tedious work and helping my brother-in-law on this large job, we got finished around 7pm. We started working on it around 8 this morning. Alot of undoing wiring, fuel rails, HPFP, piping, etc we got to the nitty gritty around 2pm getting the old water pump and chain out. Wasnt terrible again alot of stuff has to come off to get to both. We got all the new components in and reinstalled everything, checked for leaks, put fresh oil and coolant in. We bled the cooling system and made sure it got up to operating temp and checked to make sure i had heat. Cleaned everything up and i left his shop and my car turned 127k jist as i was pulling out of the driveway. Thr drive home was uneventful, no noises, vibrations or overheating. Car did amazing. But on the contrary, i am on the fence about selling the car. I understand that this platform is expensive to own and maintain. Ive babied this car since buying it. But im gonna drive it and decide if it's worth keeping. As I've ran into two unknown issues when i had the car in the air. 1 was a seeping rear turbo leak that me and my brother-in-law agreed that i would be beneficial to replace but me being on a tight budget and not having enough time we cleaned it up and we had an oil additive to help seal it to prevent it from leaking more. I know not the best thing to do. Next i had a leaking CV axle at the PTU on the passenger side. Im sure it needs replacing, but again another item to the list to replace. Money is tight, so i have to decide whether or not to sell it. If i do, id like the MKS but again same car same problems. Or i leave this platform and move on. I hate that im saying that as I've had this car for less than a year and have already accumulated 10k miles on it. Id like to continue with it but looks like ill try to find another ecoboost thats had the timing chain and water pump done already with the turbos done too.
