Hello all, I had a pretty bad scare with the SHO today. I went WOT and lost almost all power, the a/c cut out, and I was left with a slow blinking CEL and whenever I would press the gas the whole car would shudder and the rpm’s would refuse to climb. I pulled over, shut the car off, restarted it and checked for leaks, and now it runs fine. I have had an intermittent P0016 code since March when I got the car, and I’ve been saving money for the timing job I plan to DIY. However I’m having some confusion on the phasers. The parts list that comes up from Billy vk has some phasers listed by part number BA5Z-6A257-E, but there is also BA5Z-6A257-D, and BA5Z-6A257-C on parts websites that all say they will fit. Do I need to get C,D, and E? Or a combination based on the year? I am confused and wanting to save this car before the chain slips timing and I destroy the valves. Any help would be much appreciated as I want to do this job right and am only going to buy OEM parts. Just need to know which ones. Car is a 2013 non PP with 123,000 miles (purchased with 114,000) and have done rear brakes, PTU fluid, spark plugs, air filters, and I am also going to be cleaning out the intercooler as I know that can be a cause of shuddering and CEL’s. I have not ran the codes yet but all I have had since day 1 is the P0016.

may get you off to a running start. i would check the crank pulley also as that doubles as a harmonic balancer. may be worth replacing if it looks doubtful.

Look at Johnbigdog's post in this link. That info along with the stuff Shodded posted in that pdf should be in a sticky at the top of the maintenance section to make life easier. In addition updated parts numbers should be added to the skicky.
