New Clutch: SPEC 1 or CM 1?

As it says, I'm going to be installing a new clutch (I'm also doing a full suspension redo, PS pump). I noticed that there's about a $100 price difference. Just wondering what the preference here on the forum is between the SPEC 1 and CM 1? Thanks in advance.

I would go for the Clutch Masters Stage 1. I have it in my SHO and it has done very well.

i know its not one of your options, but I ran the spec stage 2 in my old 92 and it was very streetable and smooth. I will be using the same clutch when I do the MTX swap on my 95

I am not sure about the Spec clutch, but the CM stage one uses the stock clutch with an upgraded pressure plate. The upgrades are stronger straps and larger rivets.

The stock pressure plate is on the left and the CM is on the right. You can see the thicker straps and larger rivets.

Cool. Thanks so far guys. Looks like I'm leaning towards the CM Stage 1. I sense another SHObros order on the way....

Since we are on clutches once more....

I do know that the CM1 is rated at 300HP.... but what would be the HP limit of that clutch? 320-330? I mean, before the clutch starts to slip....
