Many years ago with my GenI I went through 4 alts from the parts store until I stumbled into a good one. I had another rebuilt locally and that was ok but I think the available parts are the same cheap chinese stuff-- you just have someone who can personally bench test it before sending it out the door.

I think you’re correct, pulling it out now. It reads 12.5 from the alternator and I just tested the battery. I think the internal voltage regulator in the alternator is bad.

This car runs great. I love it.

Front struts are basically toast. Does anyone have 1st have experience with a v8 SHO, where you installed coil overs with linear spring rates? What ones do you have and how do you like it? What did you set the camber too?

Doug Lewis said he sets his camber to-4. He didn’t have a suggestion for the Lincoln. I think I may have to swap all the linkage and front suspension components over from a SHO.

Thanks

I'm thinking about trying this. I will let you know the results.

Good luck. I see Dorman also offers a kit if these don't work out. I see mixed reviews on this stuff. Honestly, aftermarket options for these vehicles has been sh it for a long while now. Maybe the coilovers are good from Sho source. Haven't owned them.

Thanks. I’m petty sure I can get a custom spring made for this kit that will give me a slight drop. I think instead of linear I’m going to go with a shorter and stiffer progressive spring.

I’ll look for the same adjustment in the back.

I used a 3M headlight restoration kit and a rain x headlight sealant. Turned out out good.
