Hey guys,
Finished up the front suspension makeover, in preparation for the "professional" sub-frame alignment, only to discover that I had forgotten to remove a washer from each strut-rod when I coated them during the clutch swap last year - which had apparently resulted in tweaked wheel alignment which could not be adjusted out of the steering. I was convinced that the sub-frame had shifted, but after completing installation of the front suspension - which included new strut-rod bushings and washers - the steering is now damn near dead-on straight. Still going to get the front and back aligned, but the sub-frame no longer looks like an issue. The ride height of the new front struts does, however.
I was very annoyed to find that the new struts I built push the front end up even higher than the old units did. I even ordered some Monroe sensa-tracs, rather than use the KYBs, and now I've got maybe a ride height that's a good inch higher. I know it takes a moment to settle, but damn. Anyways, I was browsing around for lowering springs and came across this website 2KRacing.com, who is selling a lowering-spring kit for 1989-1995. I'm thinking very hard about ordering this kit, but given how scarce lowering springs are, it seems too good to be true.
Does anybody know anything about this site? They're selling the Eibach Pro-Kit, but the part number they have listed is not associated with Eibach. I just attempted to call them and got an odd message about them reopening in June... yeah. I'm in the middle of shooting them an email to ask about the specifics on this spring kit, but I'm not going to hold my breath. It seems more likely that someone here has already dug into this.
