My 2013 Taurus SHO with 105K had multiple system failures at once, I'm stumped at what might be creating these issues. The air conditioning is blowing hot, the backup camera quit and the power steering is limp. All of these issues seemingly appeared at the same time. I used a scanner and the health report scan displayed a IPC (Instrument Panel Control Module) Fault with U0131:00-8A Lost Communication With Power Steering Control Module A.\
I charged the battery to see if it was a power issue, battery is less than a year old and charging the battery didn't help.

Any troubleshooting ideas or suggestions out there?

Look at the wiring going to the EPAS. If it's good, try clearing everything in Forscan.

i was thinking possibly the fcim, but it is possible there is a compromised ground, which usually happens due to moisture/grime intrusion.

Replaced the battery, didn't seem to resolve any of the although it was showing a slightly degraded state of holding a complete charge so it was worth changing.

Spoke with the Ford dealer, they stated a failing EPS (steering rack) is normally associated with an error message in the instrument panel, which I don't have. He suggested hunting down wire connections and grounds as suggested able, anyone have have pointers or high risk areas to focus on that are common failures as somewhere to start?
