Alright..
I got the new adapter and still dont have the PSCM 730-02-01 option.. but shame on me for not doing enough research.
I bought the wrong mirror because they incorrectly labeled the camera as a Lane Assist when it is in fact only a High Beam like the one I already have.
Still dont know if that explains the missing PSCM options but I'll bet on it.
Will be getting an actual LA camera and will update once it arrives hopefully that gives me the PSCM 730-02-01 option in Forscan.

You may need to choose a different vehicle profile when connecting to forscan to a Lincoln or a model that has those features for certain modules to appear/options.

Lol, got the LDW camera installed.
Now im wondering why I dont have certain options on Forscan.
I got the IPC written, then I got the Lane Departure warning on dash.
I dont have the 730-02-01 option to "Write" and it won't let me write on all the sections of the IPMA module.
Why cant things be easy haha.
I'm wondering if it's my ELM 327 USB adapter thats not giving me full access.
It usually says it's not recommended on Forscan windows before connecting.
Should I get a better adapter, maybe a OBD Link EX?

I don't think the problem is with the adapter because I use the exact same adapter. Do you already have automatic high beam? There is a way to update the IPC module, but I don't know how it is work, but give me some time to find out how it works

Yeah, I have a 2013 SHO with normal Cruise Control and Auto High beam.

Its is possible that I need to put the right mirror on and create a new profile on Forscan. If I still dont see the 730-02-01 option on the PSCM. I might have to try loading another profile.
Ill update Thursday as soon as I get the new mirror.

When I did the LKAS mirror upgrade in my SHO, I'm fairly certain it was 730-01-01 XXXX-XXXX-X*ZZ - change * from 0 to 1. At least that's what I have written down in my notes from the time. There was an excel spreadsheet floating around that listed all of the options. I'll see if it's still sitting in my downloads folder at home tonight.

I'd check the car to say for sure, but... may it rest in peace.

As an aside, I also bought the wrong mirror from ebay because the seller had it mislabeled. On the topic of mirrors though, you'll need to make sure the one you got has the same connector. They updated the IPMA sometime in 2015 or 2016. The mirror is almost identical, but the messages it sends to the PSCM are completely different and won't work in the 2013. Ran into that too...

First and foremost I’d like to say thank you for posting this. Over the years I’ve seen plenty of posts on multiple platforms where people gatekeep information! I have a 2013 da and I purchased the lane assist mirror. I connected forscan to verify I had access to the modules and lines that needed to be changed and I’m also missing the line in the PSCM. I do not have the new mirror connected so I’m not sure if that’s an issue. Is there a way to check the firmware on the PSCM and if so was there a way to update it as needed?

Alright, sorry i didn't update ASAP.
I actually got it working after I got the right mirror which has a camera.
It was really easy to set it up.
At first I didn't notice a big difference with the LKAS but after having it for 3 months, I actually cant go back to being without it.
Great option to have.

All I had to do was hook it up, no profile change was needed.
The 730-02-01 PSCM option didn't show, but I dont think we even have it.
Going back to the Excel Spreadsheet, 730-01-01 PSCM (LKAS) Enabled itself after connecting the camera.
Only changes on Forscan were in the IPMA Module to add the LKAS lines and a Calibration.

Alright mirror is installed and IPMA change was made. I get the options for it and the error for lane assist and when I go to calibrate I get an error for “front camera malfunction” which I assume is normal but I’m not having any success with calibration and never get the lane lines in the cluster. Are you supposed to hit ok when the drive for 10min above 40mph screen comes up? The status percentage at the bottom never moves from the 31% it starts at.

Hello,
I've been working on this for about a month and the delay in getting the mirror delivered was quite frankly.

First of all, my car is a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO non PP I have all the features except the lane departure system.

Let's start the explanation

---

Requirements:

Rearview mirror with Lane Departure Warning (LDW) functionality (part number EU5Z-17700 forget the last word it was G or J but make sure it is with Lane Keeping ).

Laptop with FORScan software installed. ( Find out how to install it with the license )

USB ELM327 OBDII adapter to connect the car to the laptop.

(Optional) LDW ON/OFF button – not required, since the system can be controlled from the left instrument cluster screen.

---

Mirror Installation Steps:

1. Remove the Upper Plastic Cover:

Press inward on both sides of the upper plastic cover.

Pull the cover downward (top to bottom) as shown in the image.

2. Remove the Second Plastic Cover:

Pull the cover outward from both sides.

3. Disconnect the Mirror Plug:

Once the mirror is visible, disconnect the electrical plug from the mirror.

4. Remove the Old Mirror:

Firmly twist the mirror counterclockwise to release it from the mount.

5. Install the New Mirror:

Install the new mirror by reversing the removal steps.

Connect the electrical plug.

> Note: The LDW ON/OFF button is not required, as the system can be enabled or disabled through the left-side screen. Therefore, installation or explanation of the button is not included in this guide.

---

Programming with FORScan:

After completing the physical installation, everything is ready for programming

1. Connect the Vehicle:

Launch the FORScan program on your laptop.

Connect the USB ELM327 OBDII adapter to the car and your laptop.

Click the connect icon at the bottom of the screen.

Wait for the modules to be read. Once complete, you’ll see “Ready” and a green dot.

2. Enter Configuration and Programming:

Click on the "Configuration and Programming" tab (chip icon).

3. You will need to program three modules:

IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster)

PSCM (Power Steering Control Module)

IPMA (Image Processing Module A)

---

General Programming Procedure:

For each module:

Click on the module name.

Press the Play icon at the bottom to read it.

Once the values appear, edit the required lines.

After editing, press Write next to the edited line.

Once finished, press the Stop icon and move to the next module.

---

1. IPC Module:

Go to line: 720-01-03

Locate the value marked with an asterisk:
xxxx-x*xx.xx

If the marked value is 0, change it to 4.

Click Write and exit the IPC module.

---

2. PSCM Module:

Go to line: 730-02-01

Locate the value:
xxxx-x*xx.xx

If the marked value is 0, change it to 1.

Click Write and exit the PSCM module.

---

3. IPMA Module:

Update the following lines exactly as shown below (compare and change only if different):

706-01-01: 1F89 0A82 43

706-02-01: FFFF FFFF FF0B

706-02-02: FFCO CC9C

706-03-01: 4490 4000 25

706-04-01: 9F40 0080 71

After editing each line, press Write for that specific line.

---

Final Notes:

After programming, the Lane Departure Warning system is now enabled.

However, it might not appear on the instrument cluster screen yet, because it requires calibration.

---

Lane Departure Camera Calibration using FORScan

---

Requirements:

The new mirror with the camera must be properly installed and secured.

Drive on a straight road with clear lane markings.

Vehicle speed must be above 60 km/h.

No DTC (error codes) should be present in the IPMA module.

---

Calibration Steps:

1. In FORScan, go to the Service Functions tab (wrench icon on the left).

2. Wait for the list to load, then look for:

"IPMA Camera Calibration"

or "IPMA Static Calibration" / "Windshield Camera Calibration"

3. Select the calibration function and click the Play icon.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions – usually, it will ask you to:

Drive above 60 km/h on a straight road

Make sure the road has clear, visible lane markings

5. While driving, the IPMA module will start calibrating automatically.

---

Important Notes:

Ensure the windshield is clean, and the camera has a clear view.
I’m having trouble with the second step-writing to the IPMA module. I have a 2016, is this thread solely for 2013 models only?? It says “writing blocks failed, incompatibility configuration” The rearview lane keeping specific camera and lane keeping camera on windshield are there, far as I can tell.

Thank you
