more problems with my sho shutting off rough idle

well now ontop of the tranny troubles i got more problems, i had the car running for a while backed it out of the garage shut off, wouldnt start back up for a while, waited osme more started up it runs fine when ur on the gas but idling its rough and its making a ticking noise seems louder now than before im seriously considering ripping the engine an tranny out an gettin ones with less miles any ideas on what i should do about the problems

Is it ticking or knocking? Does the noise change with RPM's? Does it go away during the rise or fall in RPM's? These questions will help the online diagnostic team here at SHOFORUM.

its more of a quiet knocking there is plenty of oil and the oil light is not on, im not sure about the way it acts with rpms ill check it tomarrow

its a 5spd and it has a 3.0 in it, i actually just filled it up with 93 an it runs alot better who ever had it before must have been puttin 87 in it. The ticking its not really there anymore theres a quiet tick where the injectors an fuel rail are, also its grinding goin into 3rd sometimes like its not all the way in and it is still hard to shift takes a few seconds but i can still get it to chirp

Ya that musta been it. These cars can't run on 87. J/K, 87 should be completely fine.

Either that or the gas that was in there had turned to turpentine from sitting and the new additive rich premium helped clean up the stuck injectors.

do you know alot about these trannys cuz im having trouble shifting mine and someone said if your cruise dosnt work a sensor might be unplugged which could create hard shifting and thats my problem shifting hard and sometimes grinds goin into gears like its not in all the way
