A battery tender would be good for you. They are cheap and will keep your battery happier longer.OK, thanks for the recommendation. I do drive it once or twice a week so isn’t that enough to not need a battery tender? And if I don’t drive, it at least twice a week I’ll certainly start it up remotely and let it run.
Great. Thank you so much for the info.
Grabbed one of those, then connect the positive to the positive battery terminal, and the ground to the strut stud. Works great....
I’ve never heard of an AGN battery. I’ll make sure to get one when this one needs replacing. I dropped the car off tonight at the dealer so we’ll see what they say.If you are near or belong to Costco - View attachment 91830
Every 30 months it lasts - I bring the old one in get whatever credit and swap it.
i set a reminder in my phone, if it lasts 30 months, claim its defective and get a new one for that price.

The random shutting down of the climate control is mostly gone. I found that turning it on with the touch screen and leaving it on auto has nearly eliminated the problem.
No.Did you have the FCIM replaced?
So the only way to get one is to find a used one?Sorry to dig up an old thread. I think I have a used FCIM on the way, finally. I can't seem to find who is repairing these in my searches here. I'd like to send the replacement off to be repaired so that I am only changing this out once. Any place you chaps can recommend?
I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to find a new one and have never been able to locate one. I paid for a used one that will need some refurbishing as a last resort. Assuming it shows up, now I just need to find the place that repairs them.So the only way to get one is to find a used one?
What's the part number? I want to make sure I find the right one. And did you order the module or the interface, I'm assuming the module. I'm thinking of replacing both. And I'm interested in any updates you have whenever you have them.I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to find a new one and have never been able to locate one. I purchased the panel itself. All roads point towards a short in one or more capacitors being the issue. I'm going to look at the replacement and see if I can detect a burned/defective capacitor and MAYBE fix it myself.Understood

That's the route I'll be goingFord sells these at over $500, they send them to a reman facility and when I was asking about specifics they had absolutely none. I ended up going with a $80 ebay junkyard unit and my hvac has been perfect since.
The one guy on YouTube that repaired one of these said he was not interested in taking in mine to experiment with and possibly repair.
