Don't put that in the Tranny. It requires ATF only. Gear oil is way too thick you would have shifting problems and well would reduce the lubing to the stock diff even more this could lead to blowen diff as well.

Like I answered on TCCA, use only ATF, or Synchromesh. Many have had good luck with Mobil 1 ATF, or a Mobil 1/ Synchromesh blend. Personally, I run straight Synchromesh (Pennzoil branded).

Gear oil will ruin the transmission in short order, and should never be used.

i agree with these fellas.
I have a feeling there have been more than a few transmission failures due to wrong **** being used.

Synthetic Gear oil

SHO transmissions work best with a QUALITY ATF transmission lubricant. Synthetic ATF can make them last nearly indefinitely under normal use.

However, that is a pretty good price for a synthetic gear oil. It can be used in most rear drive differentials, particularly pick ups and related vehicles. It is also used and recommended for any manual shift transmission not requiring ATF, many 4X4 transfer cases, not requiring ATF and nearly all gear drive transfer cases as well as nearly all racing designed manual shift transmissions.

I use Amsoil's ATF in my 90 SHO and it's been driven in two de's so far. the trans has 183k on it. I highly recomend Amsoil products.
