make sure you got 3.0 SHO bearings not 3.0 vulcan bearings - they have been obsolete for some time now.

I don't know about mains, but I've read that you should avoid their rod bearings.

What was the part number?

Main bearings for the SHO have been unobtanium for a long time now.

I bought the last two sets from the Ford parts system last year. Paid $240.00 for them.

Did you buy them from a guy in Kansas? These arent OEM these are made by a company called Sealed power

I hear you. Mine came from Bob Allen Ford, a dealership in Kansas. These are OEM Ford bearings.

LOL. Get this, I only wanted one set and they sent both by mistake. I went ahead and paid for the other just as a spare.

Thats who I called:( he told me he sold them to a guy(you)but he might have more...Do you have the part number? Or are you willing to part with a set to help a fellow owner out:rofl:

V6 Main (outer) bearing E9DZ-6333-A
V6 Main (middle) bearing E9DZ-6337-A

I found 3 dealers doing a search on partsvoice.com that carry the outer bearings but no one that carries the middle. Bob Allen Ford is one of them.

3.2 SHO main bearings

I am looking for main bearings for my 94 Ford Taurus 3.2 SHO. Does anyone know where I can find them?

Pretty sure finding a set of new main bearings is the *** of gold at the end of the rainbow. They hardly ever need replacing. Should have better luck getting a used set. Look in the Classifieds on this forum, or put up a Wanted to Buy notice for that.

RCM Automotive lists them on their website, but have not had any for a while.

I wouldn't trust RCM, they take forever to reply to anything. And when they do reply you still need to wait forever afterward to get any response on what's going on. Personal experience taken into account.

I was talking to a friend that has a machine shop, one of his suppliers is working on making the rod bearings for the SHO. They already make head gaskets that sell for $60. They are hoping to get a batch done in the next few months.

Shosource still has rod bearings. You could try posting in the Want to buy section to try and find a set. There are sets out there, I just sold a Clevite set with thrust bearings this past summer and another member sold a set a few months ago in the classified section.
