After i get on her a little, and get some rpms when I let off the gas the idle drops well below 1k and bounces back and forth from around 700-800, and back up to around 1,500K.

Whats the deal ?

Could be that you need to clean your MAF filaments. You could also try a idle reset. There is instructions in the "How do I section". You could also see if you have any codes stored in your computer, you can do this yourself for free. Check the link in my sig for ECC code how to.

Thanks for the info. I did the idle reset the other day to no avail.

Dont wanna sound like a dumba**, but what has to be cleaned on the MAF.

How come the Crown Vics dont do the shifty idle thing.

My 83 Bronco II 2.8L did it,
My 84 T-bird 3.8L did it,
My 88 Bronco 5.0L did it,
now my 93 SHO does it...

But my freakin police car no matter how hard I run, how crappy the fuel, how unmaintained it is...WONT DO IT ....Go figure

There are little filaments of the actually sensor that do the metering. They should be sprayed with electrical contact spray. Don't touch them just use the force of the spray.
