I found a mangled connector hanging but my bad CV boot. Its red and has 8 holes. Two of the holes aare plugged and it has 6 pins in it. I found the other half and it sits on top of the trans. I was wondering what this controls. The connector looks like it got caught in the axle so its time for a junk yard run. The car was starting and running with it disconnected. I will try to snap a pic later

This is on a 90 SHO, correct? It may be a dummy plug that isn't needed.

I can't think of any red plug in that area.... *scratches head*

The only plugs that are not used are grey, IIRC.

drivers or passengers side?

there are a few brown/red colored connectors in the engine compartment

as said, there is one above the transmission, that is one of 3 connectors that go from the body harness to the engine harness, I also beleive that there is one up by the wiper motor as well.

Is it possible for ABS? My ABS isn't connected and the motor seems to be running fine.
