Common Gen4 Failures

Good afternoon y'all.

I was curious what the common problem with these cars?
Everyone i talk to has replaced the engine. Why? What are the main problems?

For example. on a gen 1 and gen 2 it is rod bearings / differential pin explosion.
For examples on a gen 3 its the cams as a major failure and trans (standard transmission suckiness)

I like the GEN4 styling. I heard the 3.7 liter engine and trans combo is the best.
Is the SHO as reliable?

Turbine housings like to crack, ptu doesn't like to be lifetime serviced and trans can be hit or miss

I was wondering about this as I've read about it more than once. What's the root cause..poor casting, thermo cycling?

Funny yu say this, I've had my 2nd module go bad on me yesterday. First one lasted about 27k miles, this last one had lasted about 10k. Should I accept that I'm going to have to spend $50 every 10k for this?

84,000 trouble free miles here. Never had a service issue at the dealer. Having worked in the plant that built our motors for almost 9 years, I spoke with literally hundreds of owners. Change the water pump before 150,000 miles, and replace the timing chains while your in there. Turbos and fuel pump issues would be addressed per occurence.
