Ok I need a little help here, I have a 1990 SHO 5 speed. I went to work, and In downtown San Antonio, there is no parking, so I had to double park, in a pay parking lot, and left my keys with the parking attendent, so he could move it when a parking space came available. Now that night after I got off of work I got im my car, and turned it on, and the shifter was completly loose, I could put it in all the gears, with out pushing in the clutch, So I was thinking I burned my gear box, or something, so I took apart the leather that surrounds the shifter, and found, a brass rod, that runs from the shifter to the tranny I guess. The attendent forced the gear in, and I guess broke a little tip that connects the shifter to the tranny, and pushes in the gears. So my question is what is this little rod called?, and where can i Get another one? or possibly fix this one? needless to say I'm ******,and will never let any one touch my car again Thanks
