Boost leaking?

I was out of town and let my mom borrow the car I know mistake right there. So I come back and it’s accelerating slower than normal and it sounds like one of the turbos is not spooling up until higher RPM. Plugged in ob2 with FORScan and did a live read and boost was 16 psi max and the waste gate was at like 2% . Could the waste gate or seal have gone bad? There is more lag. Just not sure what to look for thinking about doing a smoke test

Any codes? Check all the turbo piping for loose connections or cracked hoses especially at the clamps and on the underside. Also check the hoses at the wastegate solenoid atop the manifold. Ford leaves those unclamped and they can come loose.

No codes no cracked or loose hoses only thing couldn’t check was the under side c clamps for the turbos going to check the wastegate bov diaphragms

I just found a C clip on the front turbo wastegate rod was missing , that will do it. U can take out some of the screws underneath the front cover and see the turbo from there. Worth a check.

I did some data logging tonight and the waste gate at times was at 90%

Can you upload your log? That along with some mod info might help because telling us that you had 16 psi boost at one point, 2% wg at some point, and 90% wg at some other point doesn't really mean a lot or tell much. Best diagnosis I could give based on the information provided (Mom drove car; car now accelerates slower) is that your mom filled up with junk gas.

nope i filled up before i left so she did not have to fill up while i was away. Im going to do some logging on my way home today.
