Boost leak

I have a 2013 Taurus SHO with 190K on it, Under load it seems to release boost way to early resulting in the car being super sluggish, sounds like it’s using all engine when it releases. recently did the VTA mod i’ve seen all over, (felt the same way before the VTA mod as well) After the VTA It allowed me to hear when exactly it looses boost, it seems to be at any RPM, even when gently getting on the gas. It’s unpredictable sometimes it will build boost like normal and feels great, other times it releases as soon as i get on the gas. Does anyone know what it might be?

check the connection of the hose, black zip tied bottom center. Will be on the your right on the intake

That’s a lot of miles, you should check all the piping and small boost/mercury lines

all great advice... if are original owner its all about the fluids and upkeep. these engines have lots of blow by, check that PVC system out and send a scope into the map port on top of the intake manifold. look for that build up in there and on the valves... you have a lot of work ahead of you.
