Wow cam2....I used to run that back in early 80's in a 340 duster. Bought at Sunoco. Have not see or heard of it in 20 years! Didnt know it was still made. I hope it has been reformulated, it would not be good for our turbo motors in original formulation.....

I wonder at the very low price of the oil filter. Usually a decent filter is around $ 20.00
$5.00 sounds like low grade Chinese.

Yea, local dealer charges ~$4.70/ea for a FL-500s but I buy the 12 pack case from Amazon since my car, my dad's truck, and my mom's car all use the FL-500s. it comes to ~$3.70 a filter.

I never said $20.0 was for Taurus. This is price for quality filter for older vehicles.

Years ago when synthetic oil first hit the market, I was living in England and was using the European version of Castrol dino oil, and swore by it. Then I heard that Castrol had developed a synthetic oil based on dino oil, and then they went to court and had it declared a synthetic oil. I swore off Castrol at that point because I felt that their synthetic was called synthetic due to a legal decree by the courts. But now after reading several pages of online oil analysis, I find that Castrol synthetic is just as good as any other synthetic and I will probably start using it again.
