First time taking my ATX SHO with 273,000 km to the track. It's in need for a 60k soon, but still performed alright. Got 11 runs in last night, it was pretty consistent, but this was the best one. It weighed in at 3455lbs.

All of my car's runs from last night I organized into a spreadsheet here.

I want to gut my old spare y-pipe and get the big bore secondaries now. Might get into the low 15's. Maybe next year I'll get the Zex nitrous kit, but right now it's my Daily Driver.

I've pretty much done the 60k except for the shims and timing belt. I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to my cars, but the SHO is a different animal, and needs maintenance that other cars don't need.

But yea, I'll be getting around to the 60k soon (or whats left of it) and definitely be tricking the secondaries and the transmission shift points.

What would an ATX do stock back when they were new?

IIRC the best I ever got out of my '94 ATX was about 15.4, with a ~2.3 or 4" 60'. That was with an LPM and not a whole lot else. The car probably could've used the driver mod.

No need to do that. You would be wasting your time and probably gaining a tenth. An atx really likes the same mods MTX's do. The y-pipe isn't as big of a gain at all but an atx can pick up some time quarter.

Your time seems a bit slow but then again, it's an atx. For reference I was pulling 89 mph trap speeds in my stock atx with my system in the car and full interior. I now run 99 mph trap speeds with the same weight. Mods can be done. A giant turbo is going in now and the car has lots of work.

Keep at it, but maintenance is key. Especially on the drivetrain end of these ATX's.

my best in my atx was a 15.62 @88.9mph. I was usually in the 15.8-16.0 range though. Then I boosted it and went faster.

edit: I think your ATX is pretty damn healthy to click off the time it did. If you ever have to replace the trans do gears and a bigger stall and you will probably see low 15's

My best time last year was 15.5, with full interior and amps and subs in the trunk with a full size spare. It needed a lot of maintanance, it was past 100k on both upper and front 60k. My only mods were, LPM, UDP and CAI. This year all maintenance was done and I also have nitrous going in but I want to see my times without the nitrous first. Also the car had about 318k miles on original motor and transmission. I can't remember my trap speeds but I believe they were around 88 mph.
