Does it mount? Yes, does it fit correctly? No. I installed one on my last sho and it tweaked the mounting points slightly. The actual bottom mounts were twisting. I also had an axle boot pop off which could be unrelated but I'm thinking it was partially from some extra pull on it from the misalignment

Has anyone confirmed the fitment of this mount on the SHO?
That mount came on my 2018 don't see any issue with it working on older models. I'll check later but it should be fairly straightforward.

Was giving it another go today, and running into same issue. Thinking main source of the issue is the exhaust wrap, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Was going to pull this bolt above the trans mount to see if it gave me any wiggle room but figured I would confirm with yall before moving forward.
Yes you can remove the bolt that bolts straight into the ptu. That pc most likely has tabs on it that will need filed off anyway for the ad mounts to slide in properly. Makes it easier.

Good stuff. How do you like the mounts? Did you adjust the RPM +100 on the idle and in gear idle? If you didn't, it makes a big difference.
I know this is an old post, do these really make that much of a difference? My '15 is going to be my daily driver. Old man here (55 yrs young) so possibly a dopey question, to adjust the rpm's, does that require a tuner? Is it a "must do" or is it recommended for the most benefit?

I didn't adjust my rpm, yes you can use a tuner, I believe Forscan for $12 will do it as well without a tuner. You can feel everything thru the steering wheel, its called the connected feeling. It took me a few hours and got past it tbh. Same age, easy to upgrade. Takes some of the slop out of the transmission on takeoff. However - you add a tune? Then its just cause you want to do it. No performance difference, unless you are tuned - you can feel the engine/transmission feedback.

Depends on how much spirited driving you are going to do. Personally I think they are worth every penny. The sounds is better, the road feel is better, a hard launch is better, and the 1 to 2 shift is straight money.

They make a massive difference, I installed both and couldn't be happier.

So did mine, all new all around mounts and upgrading harder trans mounts. Now the car pulls hard left on acceleration and hard right when off the gas.

You need harder trans and engine mounts my guy. I had some made out of polyurethane but have spares to do metal if polyurethane isn't enough. It almost made my car undriveable.

Shop trying to say the new mounts are to stiff and causing that. Hard explaining it should do the opposite.

They are too stiff in contrast to the rest ofd what is on there right now. You are seeing how soft the motor and upper trans mount are. My Ford Tech said the taurus motor mounts are complete hot garbage like a NA 3.5 will throw those out.

Check the big round aluminum bushing on the front lower control arms, those are notoriously bad and would probably cause those symptoms and the loss of all the drivetrain flop from the crap mounts is just highlighting how bad they are under force.

Do I need to replace both of these? Did the front one because I knew it was easy, I have both front and rear on my 2016. Completely took away all wheel hop. Any reason to install the rear?

Most folks do the rear only, the rear generally does the most work and later years they actually eliminated the front and beefed up the rear from the factory.

Do them both trust me, I added the front back to my 2018 to help secure the driveline as well as did poly engine and upper trans mounts. This driveline needs to be rather secure to keep it from slipping tire up front.
