Question #1: for anyone...I own a "15 SHO non-PP, (55k miles). I've been following a lot of you folks (SM105K especially has a ton of knowledge and always seems to offer helpful advice). Just completed by my second oil change, trans D/F and had the PTU/rear diff. fluid serviced (60K miles). I recently purchased and installed the mounts from AD. Simple enough install, but for whatever reason, the car now sounds more aggressive/different...even at idle. Anyone have an idea as to why? Honestly just curious. Question #2: I once installed a polyurethane trans mount on my old "94 Mustang Cobra 'Vert and later research showed it to be a bad idea because the factory rubber mount helped to dissipate NVH through the driveline. If you eliminate that, the NVH just continues down the driveline to the rear axle and ends up toasting the ring/pinion and bearings. I removed it before that happened. Has anyone had any problems caused by these mounts post install?
As always, appreciate everyone's advice on this site!

The AD mounts are more of a direct mount from the engine/trans directly to the body. This does cause more NVH. If you mess with your stock mounts, you will see they are really flimsy both in rubber and actual metal. That is why they flex, but they are quiet.

My recommendation is (if you are tuned) raise your rpm idle RPM by +200 in the tuning device and reflash. Also the mounts will have a break period in as well. Once I raised my RPM and broke them in, I didn't notice them anymore. The noise will not change. I think they are best "exhaust" mod you can do.

Thanks for the assist. She’s stock right now with the exception of a dry, drop in air filter. Most of you recommended sticking with the stock air box unless you start upgrading the turbos. That’s not my plan, but I do intend to do the GH complete tune kit once the weather gets a little warmer (NJ). She’s my daily so that would probably be the extent of my mods…maybe

Just do 1 of the AD mounts and keep sock rpm. 2 k miles and Nvh is not an issue and wheel hop is done

When does wheel hop occur? meaning, I've been thinking about a gear head tune as my only modification. Will it cause wheel hop to a stock setup?

On a hard launch with a 1st to 2nd gear shift.

A tune wakes these cars up a lot. It's nut just the HP it's all the torque. The torque management is reduced
sheeeet - i am leaving those sponge like Michelins all over the road, I can drift into turns, and afraid what an ethanol tune will do to me

I get wheel hop on hard take off even with the mounts, lol
Love your car by the way. One of my favorites i've seen not to mention the list of just about every upgrade possible.

I guess I'll just do the tune and see how bad it makes it, then if needed do the mounts.

Wheel hop hurts and stresses everything....axles, clutch packs, ect. There is a reason why we say to upgrade the mounts.
