18? not for me, but i guess it depends on what you like. I value SQ over SPL and there is no way that an 18 will respond quickly. It will hit very very low and deep but it will likely be muddied and unresponsive. I absolutely LOVE my setup. I dont care that people can't hear me coming a mile away or that it doesnt hit 10 htz...that doesnt matter to me. It is extremely tight and clean bass and differentiates notes that most subs (even smaller ones) just muddle together as one note. I'm a huge fan of rock (i'll just use that general category because i dont want to get into specifics) and alot of my music contains very fast very tight, not necessarily extremely deep, bass notes that a bigger or a lesser sub just couldnt handle. I love my kappa perfect. its one of the best subs i've heard and is definately THE best sub for its price point. just my .02. be interesting to see how your setup turns out.

perfects are ncie put dont move enough air. If your a fan of fast tight rock.(which is normally about 100Hz) I would go with 3 JL 8w7's. Great for rock music. And with a very decent price point and can be ran off a small amp(JL500/1) you cant go wrong. The only thing I want to say is that I think you might have made a mistake by putting an 18w3 in a sealed box. No matter what you do your not going to get SQ out of any 18. They are made for gut dropping heart pounding bass. I have heard 2 18w3's in a tahoe, in a ported box tuned at 17Hz very very LOUD. No SQ but very painful to listen to. But best of luck to you with your setup, and I hope your happy with it.

The main reason i got the sealed was for the size issue they tond me 3cu sealed and if i were to go ported it would be about 4.5 cu i did not want it to take up more room than it already was going to ... however i could always get my box ported if i need it louder it would just be a little under cube the amp i am going to be using is a kenwood 9152d.. i had recieved a great deal on it as opposed to paying $400 for the jl 500.1 ... a few dollors saves to fix the sho is always good ..lol somthing is always going wrong with it ...the sub and box pics will be up in a couple hours ....all i will need is my amp but that will take about a week and a half !
