Full weight! Nice! I think Engine Masters just showed through dyno testing that icing the intake doesn't do anything. They had no change before or after. The explanation they gave was the air speed through the manifold was too fast for the molecules to entropy heat onto the cold intake manifold surface. Icing an intercooler though, with a lot more surface area, they said they would do something. Just throwing that out there.
Interesting, was that on a Taurus?
I realize this is completely anecdotal, because I'm a test of one but I did see my intake temps on the Livewire go from 150ish to under 100 when I iced it, my 11's runs came from the intake being 75-90 when I started as opposed to the others where I was 130-150 at the starting line.
Maybe next time I'll try to spray down the intercooler, I'll just make sure the car sits for a while, since the track tends to get a little angry when your car leaks all over it.
What does everyone else do to cool down their car between runs? (Besides meth, I'm getting old, there is no way I'm going to remember to fill up one more thing)
