I'm in Queen Creek...(No wise cracks)....
Let me shrink two and post them.
You guys have a standing offer to come visit when ever u are in my area...
No problem, it's a common mistake.TY for the assist on the pics...
I thought I saw a stock SHO coil pack back there; that's really awesome.I have a Megajolt box to run the ignition and use the stock coils. The rear water manifold and interior water transfer tube are gone and my thermostat is in the top hose at front.
I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I'd like to read that book.I could write a book about all that has happened to the engine...
), you may want to create a new thread for this monster.Has anyone ever carb'd a SHO motor before? I've never seen it done and frankly, I think it's pure sex.

Oh yeah... I do remember that guy from a year or two ago on here... I don't know why, but I find that really cool.
I'm just getting started on that part of it. It's going to mount on the back of the crank pulley and I may machine a small lip in there to make sure it's centered. I'll post pics once I get to that point.
Come to think of it, this hasn't been a picture filled thread. Guess I'd better get the camera out and get to photographing.

Uhhh... With the amount of money spent to overbore and understroke that motor, not to mention make it reliable to 10k RPM (hulkish valve springs?), he probably could've been 3 turbo SHOs.i hope someone sees this next time they say the SHO engine cant make more then 300 hp without f/i
gotta say i really like the setup nice work...
"Given the rough condition of the track this year, the car's suspension is critical. The front end is a Formula Atlantic independent suspension with 2 in. of travel, while the rear suspension is a solid axle configured like a NASCAR Southwest Series touring car, with a straight axle and coil-over shocks. The powerplant, a reworked 3-liter, 24-valve V6 SHO Taurus, redlines at 10,000 rpm, generating 500 hp. Because there are few after-market parts for the engine, the pistons, camshafts and valve springs are all custom-made. For maximum performance, the engine was rebored to 3-9/16 in., with a shortened stroke of 3 in., and fitted with Crower crankshaft and rods, JE pistons and a Jericho four-speed, stock-car transmission with an overdrive. "
