The module on the left is the "Anti-slosh/Low Fuel Level Warning Module"

The module on the right is the "Instrument Cluster Gauge Amplifier"

And how do you know that isn't water, soda, or milk in that glass?

Oh,

So I don't have the "amplifier" in my cluster, but I do have the ASM. I tore apart my dash to get to the little thing and found that NOT ALL GEN1 ASMs ARE THE SAME. That was a bummer. The SHO cluster is keyed to prevent installation of a SLO ASM it seems. I took it out of a 90 SLO and I have a 90 SHO so I'm a little surprised, but whatever. The donor's car could have had the whole cluster swapped at some point so I'm not sure if it was a 90 part. Anyway, bummer.

if the 90 SLO didn't have a tach, then the module you have is JUST an ASM, and not a Low Fuel Indicator/ASM. That is the difference.

Now, if only I could find a good ASM...
