Ok,i`m actually sick of talking nitrous,but here it goes.Doug Lewis
HAD a direct port nitrous kit on his SHO,that was years ago.That being said,i`ll # these,just to makie it easier to understand.
1)Dry nitrous can be maxed to 125hp,many are running 100 already.
2)Direct port can be maxed out at 150hp,not much more than the dry kit.
3)Anything more that this is too much for a stock internaled motor to handle.Spare motors are useless because the motor won`t last the entire run of the drag track.
4)Even a 125hp shot is too much to get quicker.Nitrous comes on so voilently that a 100 shot is actually quicker in the 1/4 mile than a 125 shot.Even if you could run larger amounts,it`s completely useless.
5)I`ve witnessed this 1st hand on an SHO with drag radials.At 100,it ran quick,at 125,the tires broke loose half of the track,and it ran slower.Anything much over 100 is completely useless.
6)Direct port looks good,but in reality,on an SHO,it isn`t any better than the much cheaper dry kit,it won`t make drag runs any faster.
Btw,i got my wanted air box today complete with K&N panel

Anyone want to buy my intake that`s on the car now,i`ll even thow in a polished MAF
